Grilled Sweet Baby Broccoli with Turmeric Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches Cal-Organic Sweet Baby Broccoli
  • avocado oil spray
  • ¼ tsp. salt 
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp. tahini
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ½ tsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat, about 400 F. Clean and oil the grates well to prevent sticking.
  2. Combine the tahini, lemon juice, maple syrup, turmeric, grated fresh ginger, crushed garlic, water, salt, pepper and whisk until smooth.
  3. Spray the baby broccoli with avocado oil spray and shake on salt and pepper. Toss gently.
  4. Place the baby broccoli directly on the grill grates perpendicular to the bars so they don’t fall through. Grill 3-4 minutes per side until the stems are tender and the edges are nicely charred.
  5. Arrange on a platter, drizzle generously with the turmeric tahini sauce and top with toasted sesame seeds.
