Arugula
Description
This small, delicate, and tender leafy green packs a punch in both flavor and nutrition: it adds a peppery, zesty twist to any dish while detoxifying the body, improving cholesterol, and providing several antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Storage
Wrap the stems in a moistened paper towel and place in a plastic bag in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator. If you choose to wash the arugula prior to storage, remove the tough stem, and wash/dry thoroughly. Roll leaves in a dry paper towel and store in a loosely closed plastic bag in the refrigerator.
