Fennel

Description

From the white, crunchy bulb to the dark green, feathery leaves, every part of this aromatic, licorice-tasting herb is edible and is even widely used in many mouth fresheners and toothpaste. The health benefits of fennel include relief from anemia, indigestion, respiratory disorders, and eye care.

Storage

Store fennel loosely wrapped in a plastic bag in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. Be careful not to let it get too cold. Fennel’s high water content makes it prone to freezing.
