Celery is often called a negative calorie food, but it certainly isn’t lacking in nutrition! It includes high amounts of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and potassium, which promote a healthy immune system as well as help regulate blood pressure and lower cholesterol.
Wash, dry and remove any blemished or damaged leaves and stalks. Wrap in a paper towel or foil and place in a plastic bag. Store in crisper drawer of refrigerator. May also be stored by placing in a container lined with paper towels. Wash separated celery stalks and layer damp stalks into the container. Add another layer of paper towels and place on refrigerator shelf.
